this year we had 40 acts from all over the country and ended on schedule all 3 nights, quite remarkable really....thanks to each and every performer that came out to make this year's fest happen, we couldnt have done it without you. Thanks to the venues for having us, we hope you have us back again.. and thanks to the City of Sacramento and the Sacramento Municipal Arts Commission for your kind and gracious support of our creative endeavors.

due to unforseen auto disruptions, AA23 is being moved to Saturday nights show, and will trade places with ERARITJARITJAKA.. so ERARITJARITJAKA will play friday at 9pm.. and AA23 will play saturday at 6:30pm

NOISE FEST TEN is upon us!

The 2006 Norcal Noisefest (NF10) is here this month happening Oct 13-15.
There have been a few line-up changes since the initial line-up was announced, but beyond that everything is going smoothly and according to plan.

We are very sad that ANALOG SUICIDE from Istanbul, Turkey will NOT be able to attened this year as was first announced due to travel complications, we have filled his spot with NULLWERK from Sacramento,CA.
also it was confirmed that THE SUNKEN have disbanded and will NOT be appearing. and that due to work schedule conflicts NKONDI , and 16 BITCH PILEUP will also NOT be able to attend.

C.J.REAVEN BOROSQUE from SF has been confirmed to fill one of these open spots, and others have been invited.. more news about that when confirmations have happened.

AUDIOEMETIC has been scheduled to fill Rosemary Malign's spot tonight Oct. 8 IDXI274 has canceled and will not be appearing. Oct 7 NF IN 3 DAYS!!! Sept. 10 WHITE LEOPARDS (los angeles) have been added to the lineup! Sept. 9 MOMENT TRIGGER has canceled for NF08.. a replacement will be named soon Sept 4 SKINCAGE has cancled for NF08. NULLWERK(oakland), JESS COBLE(seattle), & NOISEPSALM(placerville) have all been added to NF08 Aug 21 T/R has canceled for NF08. a replacement will be named soon. May 2008 The 2008 season is HERE. 	back to the top	Oct 2007 Oct. 11 HYPNOTIC INJECTION from Sacramento has been added to the Sunday line up JOLTHROWER will make a rare appearance on Saturday night Oct. 10 we regrettfully announce that R.H.YAU has CANCELED his appearance this weekend due to a personal emergency that came up today. He hope that whatever it is, it isnt too bad and we wish him well. Oct. 9 KAWAIIETLY PLEASE from Los Angeles has been added to the Sunday lineup Oct 8 NORCAL NOISEFEST 2007 IS THIS WEEKEND!!!!! MICROWAVE WINDOWS from FL, and BOMB THREAT from Seattle have both recently CANCELED thier appearances at NF07 for personal reasons. We wish them well and hope to have them play next year. Which again brings us down from 50 to 48 confirmed artists. Sept 27 ALL radio appearances that were scheduled to happend on KPFA in Berkeley to support NF07 have been CANCELED. We apologize for this happening, it is totally out of our hands. Sept 7, 2007.. well.. we spoke too soon about 50 confirmed acts... AS ALL DIE from Florida have CANCELED thier appearance at NF07. Sept. 5, 2007 GEOFF BRANDIN (formerly FIN) has confirmed to appear on DAY 2. this is the FINAL confirmation we have been waiting for.. the line up is official closed and has topped our roster out at 50 performers for this years fest!!!! it will be the best and biggest noisefest ever!!! Sept 3, 2007 SMITE! has been added to the DAY 1 schedule UFO AS BACTERIA has been confirmed for DAY 3 BRAN(...)POS has been confirmed for DAY 3 Aug 23, 2007 WINTERS IN OSAKA have been confirmed for DAY 3 MEATBOWL has been confirmed for DAY 1 with these additions.. the 2007NF lineup has become the biggest lineup in NF history.. if we squeeze in a couple of more players. there will be 50 acts this year!!! stay tuned!! July 30, 2007 RUBBER (O) CEMENT has confirmed for an appearance DAY 2 July 25, 2007 MOE! STAIANO has been confirmed to appear at this years NF July 1, 2007 ALLEN ZANE/WYRM has canceled his appearance at this year's NF. It seems that where he lives.. somewhere in North Carolina.. some insane redneck SHOT his CAT! and so, Allen has had to undergo unfortunate and unruly expenses due to the damage done to his poor kitty, and so therefore will not be able to afford to visit us this year for NF.. but NEXT YEAR FOR SURE! June 23, 2007 INITIAL LINE UP FOR NF2007 HAS BEEN POSTED AND IS HEREBY ANNOUNCED.

NF07 Currently we are awaiting confirmation of dates at our prefered local venues for NF07. As soon as these dates are confirmed we will start the process planning Norcal Noisefest 11. If you have already sent us Email and have not heard from us.. that is why.. we have not really started working on it yet.. although this will change soon.. please stay patient and check back to this website often for new updates that will be coming soon..

	back to the top	12/24/05 The NorCal NoiseFest Org. would like to wish each one of you that happens to read this a very merry x-mas and a wonderful New Year. This year was amazing for us.. we had the most organized and efficiant NF ever.. also there was the NOISE For The HOLIDAYS show that happened at the beginning of this month with EMIL B., CAN'T, KEVIN SHIELDS/BRIAN MILLER collaboration, and local heroes LEPORIDAE, TARANTULA PRINCESS, & AUDIOEMETIC.. it was a great, but very cold show.. and we thank everyone that came out to support it. .Also big thanks to Jim from Audioemetic for cooking the fabulous waffles even though his state was altered from the night before's INSTAGON #420 happening in Oakland. And speaking of waffles.. well..starting in Jan.2006.. we will be starting a MONTHLY weekend, early afternoon noise series sorta based on the NOISE PANCAKE happenings that have been going on in San Francisco for quite some time now.. but the Sacramento version will feature waffles! The first one of these is scheduled to happen on Sunday Jan 29th, 2006 and details will be posted on the EVENTS page on this site within the next few days.. so stay tuned and pay attention. We hope to have 2006 be the year that noise and sound art EXPLODE onto the scene from Sacramento.. and with your support we can make it a great time for all.. thanks again.. and we will see you next year.
	back to the top	10/23/05 -- WELL its been a few weeks since the close of NF05.. it was a stellar event this year.. we thank everyone that came and played and everyone that came just to be part of the audience.. you made our 10 year anniversary something to remember.. thanks to Art Luna and Luna's Cafe.. and to Ray Tatar and The Space for providing us with the best venues a noisefest could want.. pictures and reviews are starting to trickle in.. and will be posted to this site very soon.. there are a number of UPCOMING EVENTS that are being presented by the NCNF ORG. so check out the Upcoming Events page link on this site.. Next year will be the 10th NF.. it will be the BEST NOISEFEST EVER!

NOR CAL NOISE FEST 2005.. and we have added YET ANOTHER amazing Sacramento act to TONIGHTS line up.. opening the show.. will be the young amazing prodigy child noise act called TARANTULA PRINCESS.. featuring Lydia Clark-Frank (*daughter of John Frank from klowd) .. It all happens TONIGHT.. at NOISE FEST..BE THERE 9/25/05* - well.. as NF05 approaches, we are all looking forward to the opening night next friday.we are very sad to annouce the CANCELATION of two of this years major performers, THE HATERS (fri), and AMK (sat) (both from SoCAL) have canceled their appearances at this years NF due to personal reasons. We are bummed, to say the least. LineUp Changes are: IDX1274 has been moved from the Friday line up to the Saturday show (bigger space for him to be messy in) I.N.R.I. from Portland, Or. have been added to the Friday line up. We may or may not add another act to the Friday roster. check out the line-up schedule for more details. 9/20/05 --replacment confiremd! UFO AS BACTERIA from Santa Rosa,CA has been added to the schedule for NF05, and will be appearing in the spot vacated on Sunday night by PD. 9/19/05 -- PEDESTRIAN DEPOSIT have CANCELED and will NOT be appearing on sunday atthis years NF.. a replacement may or may not be announced soon. 9/16/05 -- OKAY..so that wasnt the last line up change.. Floyd Diebel has OFFICIALLY, canceled his performance for this years fest to make room for someone else.. so, we are most excited to welcome the project ENGLISH from Seoul, Korea to the line up for sunday. check out the line-up schedule for more details. We cant wait, the show is only 2 weeks away!!! 9/8/05.. and the line up still grows.. CHAD & KEVIN (formerly Klondike & York) have confirmed to appear at this years fest.. they have been added to the line up..this will probably be the LAST lineup addition to NF05. there are a number of pre fest shows happening in the Sac area.. click PRE FEST SHOWS from the side menu to find out whats happening! 9/1/05 - With the 2005 NF now just one month away.. we continue to add to it working to make it the BEST NOISEFEST EVER!. JUST ADDED to this years saturday night line up RUBBER O CEMENT from San Francisco and beyond.. HELP SPREAD THE WORD the flyers for this years NF are now available to distribute.. if YOU would like to help this years fest by helping to pass the word, make contact with us and we will get you some flyers to hand out to your friends and other people you dont even know..

Matt we are really sorry to hear about your unfortunate events, and we hope you get some new equipment in the near future
