The 1994 Sacramento Experimental Music Series

The Northern California Experimental Music Festival owes its roots to the 1994 Sacramento Experimental Music Series. The 1994 S.E.M.S. was created to draw in outside talent to the Sacramento, and to give local talent an opportunity to showcase their work. At the end of the summer, the decision was made to continue the event, but to expand it to include a greater number of performers, and to have the event in a festival form rather than a series, allowing the large gathering of talented individuals to network and create a more synergistic atmosphere.
